10 weeks!

As of today, I am officially 10 weeks pregnant and finished with all my medication!!! (PRAISE THE LORD!!!) While my symptoms haven't really changed, as my belly grows each day, I feel more and more convinced that I am actually growing little babies inside of me! It is crazy, and amazing how much my stomach as grown in the past few weeks... especially within the last few days! Once I find my camera charger, I will take pics and post them. People that know what I normally look like can definitely tell I am pregnant. I can hide it pretty well in clothes (I just look like I gained some weight), but once I lift my shirt up to reveal my belly (which I love to do), it's over!!!

My parents came up to celebrate my 34th birthday this weekend. My dad and James were busy studding out the last section of the basement to be finished, while my mom and I spent out days taking walks, eating, and shopping. It was a tiring weekend! The new "office/playroom" is looking really good. James and my dad have done an amazing job so far. James is so proud of himself and has great plans to renovate the entire house himself (this is what he told me this morning)!!!

On Saturday, while in BABIESRUS in Catonsville, my mom and I met a couple, Azure and Jamie, who were registering. They overheard me ask my mom, "I wonder if they have travel systems for twins?" and answered the question for us (no). They too, were pregnant with twins (a boy and a girl), although 8 weeks ahead of me! We got to talking and found out they are from Frederick, and also went through Shady Grove Fertility. Azure and I exchanged email addresses and phone numbers and I hope we catch up at some point. She encouraged me to join Families of Multiples, which is something I was planning on doing anyway- but not until I am a bit further along. Apparently they have a huge annual multiples yard sale in April. I can't wait to check that out!!!

I originially scheduled my first OB/GYN appt. for today but had to cancel and reschedule it for next Monday because we had a staff meeting. I am really disappointed right now because our meeting lasted for about 5 minutes and it was reviewing our MSA materials ... something we did just last Wednesday in our team meetings. You can't win them all!

I am just so excited to meet my new doctor and hear our little ones' hearts beat! I don't think we'll get another ultrasound... but I can still hope! I also can't wait to be able to feel them! I know this won't happen for several more weeks!

Well there isn't too much news to write about today. Since it had been a while, I just wanted to check in. I hope this week goes by fast! Should anything exciting arise, I'll be sure to post, however if not, I'll write about my appointment next Monday!

Until next time...

  1. When you join the Families of Multiples group, will you let me know? I have a twin travel system with Graco...stroller, car seats, and infant carriers. Is that what you're talking about? Oh, I was a shirt lifter too...it's fun!
