As of today: Kristin & James + 6

Here is a diagram of the stages of embryo development.

Wow! I love this day! I can walk and Joy called me at 10:00 a.m. Here's the news:

All 6 embryos are still developing!!!

Three are at the 7-cell stage
One is at the 6-cell stage
One is at the 5-cell stage
One is at the 4-cell stage

Joy once again explained that embryos that were inseminated earlier in the day on Monday are most likely the ones that are at a further stage, while the embryos that were inseminated later in the day, are at an earlier stage. On day 3, SGFC would like to see embryos between the 6 and 8-cell stage. Because my egg retrieval was not performed until 12:45 p.m., it hasn't even been 3 full days since insemination- so all looks GREAT!!! She is going to call or email me later today with a time for transfer on Saturday. I am feeling a bit relieved at this point and very anxious to have our baby or babies back in the womb.

I'll post later with the transfer time. Keep the prayers coming! They are being answered!!!
