7:15 a.m. Went in for bloodwork, was told that results would be in by 1:00
1:00 p.m. Couldn't wait so I called for results. Staff was in a lunch meeting. Was told to call back by 1:30 if I still had not heard.
1:32 p.m. Called. Joy out of meeting, but on the other line. Was asked to hold.
1:40 p.m. Spoke to Joy. She confirmed the bloodwork was positive. Here's the 411:
Beta Level: 575 (anything over 10 is positive, they prefer to see over 300). At this point, this number makes me feel like it's a single pregnancy, but I am not a doctor. Joy would not give me an indication either way. I know someone who just had twins through IVF whose level was at 956 at the first Beta. Of course, I won't know anything until the first ultrasound.
Monday 2/2: I will go back in for more bloodwork. They'd like to see my levels increase by 60%, that would be a level of 920.
Wednesday 2/4: I will possibly have to go back for more bloodwork to check levels.
Week of 2/9: This will be the start of my week 6. We will go in for an ultrasound. If all is well, we will go in for a second ultrasound during week 8.
Meds: I am to continue with the progesterone until week 8. I was offered a vaginal suppository instead of the injections, but I declined. The injections are the best way to get the progesterone in me. Weeks 9 & 10 I will have to use a suppository to ween myself off the progesterone. I am also to continue with the Estrace. I will take 2 tablets a day until week 8 and then 1 per day until week 10. On March 10, I will be finished taking medication.
Potential Due Date: PROVIDED ALL GOES WELL (it is still VERY early), I've estimated my due date would be October 5th. Again, noone has told me this. I've just done the math!
Confession: I actually took a home preganancy test on Tuesday but didn't tell James, or anyone else for that matter! I kept it to myself! (That is something to be proud of!!!) The test was positive, but I couldn't believe it until today!!!
James and I are so excited... but cautiously optimistic! It has been a long journey thus far and we know it will be a long road ahead! Thank you so much for your thoughts, prayers, and support! Keep them coming!!!
Until next time...

I am so excited for you both! I am so happy to be on this journey with you....good and bad. I love you both very much and I am very grateful every day for your wonderful friendship. I can not wait to watch your belly grow! Lots of love! Sally
